Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories which generate enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the noises generated from the forklift itself.
The sound has to be readily distinguishable from other audible devices or sounds within the work environment. Sound must be readily distinguishable from other noise or audible devices within the work place. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care must be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really harder to hear the audible device and to distinguish what direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices can occasionally get deactivated from operators and employees as they could find them annoying. Also, audible devices could also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To be able protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help avoid injuries and lessen other issues. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit through removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator is able to choose the performance requirement for the particular application. As well, it allows a supervisor to set the utmost performance of a model for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and reduce the unit's utmost performance enables a new operator to learn the equipment's operating features in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the unit and when this happens, it requires a supervisor to activate and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machinery in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
