Genie telescopic S-booms have a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Compared with various other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously unreachable by conventional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This specific feature enables up and over reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing productivity and effectiveness.
