Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy machines made by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial settings where the equipment should travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and benefits of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC machine.
Several of the key features provided by this combination comprise up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Moreover, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The drive and proportional controls provide the machine with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this particular type is the best in the market.
Diesel engine equipment on most modes have an articulating boom that provides zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These equipment are great in narrow or small places. Additionally, they provide exceptional torque, grade and terrain maneuverability and supreme power. The diesel engines are quiet in general too. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on surfaces which are uneven and rough.
High ground clearance is provided in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
