End Control Forklifts
AC stand-up end control forklift trucks are well known in the material handling industry for their great flexibility. These machines have great performance characteristics that are quite similar to sit-down electric forklift units.
Ideally, these forklift truck units are suitable for warehousing operation settings which have limited space. Their working aisle requirements are often less than those required of a three-wheel electric forklift truck. These machinery are an excellent option for applications which require frequent off and on access, since their stand-up design is an exceptional characteristic.
The reach truck is a loading machine utilized by various companies which maintain a storage facility involving the arrangement of finished products on pallets and materials which are stored or stacked into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck provides safe and easy retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also an excellent alternative for individuals who prefer to store pallets of goods they do not require yet in a way which is both safe and efficient.
The standard reach truck unit is equipped with an out-rigging mechanism situated on the front of the truck. A set of telescoping forks which move up and down are mounted to the out-rigging. The blades also include a hydraulic setup that allows the operator to pick up the load and move it over the out-riggers. This particular design not only provides more balance to the whole load, but makes it easier for the reach truck to maneuver between the storage shelves into narrow aisles.
After the reach truck finds the shelves that are designated for the pallet, the hydraulics enable the tines to swing into position and lower the pallet into the shelving, sliding the pallet into position. Typically, a reach truck would easily fit into an aisle which is less than 10 feet across without any problem, so long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
